The Maillemobile was probably circling around and around the Place de la Madeleine all afternoon to advertise for the official Maille store nearby. I don't know if you can tell from the photos, but this vehicle (I can't really call it a pick-up, compared to the Fords and Rams back home ;) ) is tiny even by French standards, with the obvious exception of the towering pickle jar on the flatbed.
